Gabrielle's new dresses!
Thank you Memaa and Pop-pop for Gabrielle's new dresses! She always looks forward to getting a new dress at Christmas. Thought you might like some pictures of them...

Gabrielle's new Big Girl Bed!
Gabrielle slept in her new bed last night! She must have been really cozy because she went to sleep at 7:30 pm and didn't wake up until five minutes to eight this morning! She slept more than 12 hours!! She told us she LOVES her new bed. She also wanted a Tinker Bell room, so we put up some Tinker Bell stickers and a peel and stick border... she is so excited! We are ready for some sleep overs! Kathryn, Karina... come on over!!!

Chinese New Year!
Gabrielle's class is learning about Chinese New Year which happens this month. I dressed her up and did her hair! She was so proud of her vest, which was a gift from one of my students at P.S. 203 when she was born! I taught her how to say Happy New Year in Chinese and she happily greeted her teacher with the phase! How worldly she is :^)

The Epiphany.
We celebrated at Church. Pastor Steve told the children the story of the Wise men coming to visit Baby Jesus and explained that our church has a tradition. It goes like this: all the children pick a cupcake from a tray of cupcakes. Inside one cupcake is a bean (a jellybean). Who ever gets the cupcake with the bean is crowned King or Queen for the day! Last year Luke got the cupcake and so he was ready to crown whoever won this year... of course Gabrielle got the cupcake with the jellybean!! It was really cute, and very fun!

ROCK CLIMBING!!
Renee, Kathy & I took Gabrielle, Bennett and Luke rock climbing at this cool indoor rock climbing center. It was fun, hard work! The kids really tried. Ben was great and climbed the tallest wall! He made it more than 3/4 of the way up!!!

Fun with cousins! Gabrielle loves when people come and stay at our house, but she gets really excited when her cousins come! She had so much fun with Emma and Gracie and can't wait till they come over again!

Happy New Year!!
We took a family trip to NYC to show Gabrielle all of the holiday decorations, and to keep traditions that we had as kids!
We showed her everything from Radio City Music Hall to where Pop-Pop used to work, as well as the famous tree, the ice skaters, Sak's windows, the American Girl doll store, Times Square and of course we had to stop in the largest Toys R Us! We all had a great time, met up with God daddy and Uncle Cesar for dinner and WALKED THE WHOLE THING!!! Gabrielle is a trooper!

We are so greatful for the little time we are able to spend together, but every minute is better than none! Gabrielle was so excited to see everyone! Aunt Ashia, Uncle Don and little M! We are planning a visit real soon so we can spend some real time together!
We love you guys!!!
